Ludex .22 Magazine Speed Loader for Ruger Mark II/III/IV/Hunter and 22/45,Browning Buckmark,Colt Woodsman and Stoeger Luger

This was a gift for my dad and we immediately took it to the range to try it out. He was able to reload the magazines as fast as I was able to shoot them. No product is ever going to be perfect but this is as close as it gets. His main tip is to read the instructions that it comes with as it works quite well and is easy to use when the operator uses it correctly. It is a solid build and even though it’s larger than other speed loaders, it is well worth the space in the range bag.

When I first received this loader I was unsure if I should keep or return. I ended up watching several YouTube videos that persuaded me to give it more time. I am using it to reload magazines for a Browning Buck Mark and Ruger Mark IV Hunter. I finally got to the point of feeling good about this purchase. I was able to reload 14 magazines in a matter of minutes and my thumb wasn’t sore! I will attach a picture of the position of the adjustment screw that worked for me. I will definitely be keeping this loader and including it with my range gear. This is a good product but difficult to start using. Don’t give up it will be worth it in the end. The media could not be loaded. I really wanted this to work so I could reload faster and get more shooting done, but it just doesnt perform reliably at all with my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 at all. I tried 8 different factory magazines [2 were brand new straighr from the package], as well as 3 brands of 22lr ammo [cci minimal, Remington target, and aguila super extra], and not a single one could load a magazine reliably. I started with the cci since it is considered the gold standard, but could not get more than 2-3 rounds to load before the speed loader got a jam. I did manage to get one magazine loaded with 8 rounds, but in the same time my wife hand loaded 5 magazines to capacity. The Remington and the aguila faired much worse, which is a shame since they are usually the stuff I get in bulk for plinking and the whole point of buying this loader, but it jams so frequently that you are better off hand loading, or moving to a loader that just pushes the button down.I would give it 2 stars because it does arrange all the ammo in a good row quickly as shown in the picture, and if the loading aspect worked this thing would save so much time...but since it is so unreliable to load any magazines [at least with a mark iv 22/45], that renders the whole thing pointless and a waste of money. If you have a mark iv 22/45, I highly recommend not getting this product as it simply does not work better than hand loading, and since the issue seems to be with dispensing the ammo and not the magazines, I have doubts that other models would work much better, especially when even the "gold standard" cci mini mag ammo had such difficulties.

This product doesn't work as smoothly as advertised. To be honest the loading process of the magazine isn't that bad so this product didn't help that much. Couldn't get the 10 bullet load dispite instructions. I guess the speed loader will make a good target, something to shoot at.

This simple device allows very rapid magazine reloading. It is very simple and works better than anticipated on Ruger MKIV magazines. Like others, I must report that the 10th cartridge does not always load, but one manual load is so much easier and quicker than ten. I may need to work with the adjustment some more. Overall, Recommended.

I saw a video on here of a reviewer that was trying to load the magazine wrong and gave a bad review. If you insert the magazine all the way to the point it contact with the exit point of the ammo and then barely move it in and out it will gravity feed into the magazine. You will have to barley move it on and of this point while holding in a vertical position with the magazine in the downward position. Works perfect for me.

It takes a little patience learning to shake where the rounds into place and filling a magazine. It took me all of 10 minutes to learn. It's easy feeding even if the last round fails to load. in. It takes less than 10 seconds to fill 9 rounds in my Ruger Mk IV (2 seconds to add #10). After using it, I promise you, its value is much higher than it's low price.
