Eau Thermale Avène 50+ Mineral Fluid – Good Protection, But Not Ideal for Application
I recently tried the Eau Thermale Avène 50+ Mineral Fluid, and while it offers solid sun protection, I found a couple of drawbacks. The formula feels nice on the skin, but it leaves a noticeable white cast on my face, which can be a bit off-putting.Additionally, I found it not very easy to apply evenly. It takes a bit of effort to blend in, and if you're in a hurry, it might not be the best choice. While the protection is important, I wish the application process was smoother. Overall, it’s okay for sun protection, but the white marks and application issues might make me look for alternatives.

Terrible
I didn’t like this I’m afraid, it stays greasy, never sinks in and made me look white even with makeup over the top. I love Avene products usually but there are far better mineral SPF’s out there, don’t buy this one.

Ok - as long as you’re not going out in public
This feels like it does the job in terms of protecting your skin from UVA rays. Unfortunately though, it does leave white marks on your face no matter how much you try to rub it in. I was told I looked ill and pasty but it was just the remnants of the cream. I’m not sure if putting make up over the cream makes it less efficient for skin protection, as there are no instructions included but I’ve had to put make up on or else just look anaemic! I don’t think I’d buy it again

Unsuitable for everyone but Casper
Purchased this offline before I got a (very helpful) answer from the seller. I really wanted to like this so I could have a chemical and mineral sunscreen to rotate. It blended in fine on my hand in the shop but at home it left a greasy pink-white film on my face. I have medium colour skin, like SE Asian. My wife who is *much* fairer than me - think East Asian - tried to this too and had the same pink-white film though

Excellent for sun allergies
Although it is pricey it is worth paying for as it definitely protects against the sun. I have solar urticaria and so far this is the only cream I have found helps. The only downside is it makes you look pale and dries out the skin but guess it is better than the alternative.
