Excellent Backup Machine for Professional User
It is important to note that I used this machine professionally on a daily basis for one solid month. My main dual action polisher is a Rupes 21 Mark III. Great machine, but unfortunately it was down for a warranty claim and I needed a backup.Since the MaxShine machines intrigued me, I decided to buy a 21 Pro to compare to my Rupes and to have as a backup when it returned from warranty service.I used it for a solid month and can say the following:Ergonomics are great, actually. I like the feel of the machine in my hands. The handle is thick and nicely angled. The head is palm sized for my larger hands and has a solid rubber grip that really looks nice too.The tool feels more compact than it is, if that makes sense. Its proportions and weight distribution are excellent.5 of 5 starsComfort is a 4 of 5While it doesn't vibrate badly, it is not as smooth as the Rupes.I would describe the feel as more of a rumble than a sharp vibration. I have used it for spot work as well as hours long compounding and polishing jobs with no pain or fatigue. If I had never used this type of machine I likely would not have even made mention of this.I have added the "washer mod" underneath the backing plate so that there is no contact between the shroud and plate, but the plate still doesn't spin as freely as I would expect. With the machine off I spin the pad by hand and it stops quicker than other machines. Is this a lower quality bearing or something else?So far it has not made any odd noises, does not over heat, or give any indication of premature failure so this may be a non-issue.Don't confuse this with stalling. I have no complaints about its abilities. It seems to be an excellent value for the money spent. It costs less than half the Rupes and does the same things. The differences for me are the rumble feeling especially at higher RPM and my question about the bearing.Whether you are a professional looking for a less expensive backup machine (or even primary, who knows) or you are a hobbyist this is a great machine that does serious work in fine fashion.

Move aside Rupes...
This is my second 21mm polisher I bought it as a back up to my torq 22D. Ok so this polisher is great. Compared to the 22d its shorter in length, its trigger is spot on with the variable speed dial. Its very powerful and the 1000 watt motor delivers a lot to the pad. It feels like quality and its vibration is average. I see no flaws with it yet. Although the supplied plate did hit the shroud so I replaced it with a 22d 6 inch plate and now it spins freely. I would definitely recommend it. So now I have my 22d with a 5 inch and the m21 pro with a 6 inch..will be snagging a 12mm I think...2 month update- all I can say is..perfection! This 21mm delivers on every level. Performs better than the torque 22d..worth every penny of $210

Great value for the money
I've done two cars with this unit and it's easy to use. Powerful and cuts quick. Vibration isn't terrible and the soft start works well and keeps your compound on the car and not on you. I'm considering their smaller one too to get into tighter spots and complete my arsenal.

Time Saver!
I've been looking for ways to increase my efficiency while detailing lately. Polishing is a time-consuming process, and anything I can do to shorten the amount of time I spend on each car (without compromising on the end result) is very important to me.I decided that even though my 15mm machines work fine, I might try a 21mm polisher. My thought was that if 15mm is faster to cut than the old school 8mm Griot's 6" polisher, 21mm should be even faster. The forums will scare you into thinking that 21mm machines stall all the time and are useless. That just isn't the case. The M21 Pro comes with a 6" backing plate backed up by a 1000w motor. I experienced almost no stalling whatsoever. If you did experience stalling, you could switch over to a 5" backing plate. I am quickly becoming a MaxShine fanboy. These machines are just workhorses. They do their jobs and I've yet to have an issue. Very pleased.

great machine
Awesome polisher, feels balanced and solid. The backing plate clearance was a little tight, so I installed the washer that came with it and it works perfectly. I expect this to run for a long time. Really glad I went with the pro model as i almost bought the 900w model becauseI thought it looked better and had better reviews at the time. Much nicer to me in person.

Early Signs are Good
I've used this on a single car, and thus far the experience has been good. I immediately installed the washer on the backing plate which had the machine spinning freely. This is my first long throw after having 8mm throw polishers in the past. This machine is easier to handle with less vibrations than the machines I have had in the past. That said you'll still want to wear some kind of glove to keep the vibrations from your hands. I do most of my correction at speed 3, only needing to go to four if I have a stubborn spot. The body of the machine does get warm, but never impossible to hold. Keeping my hands at the white pommel and near the trigger I've only had to apply light pressure in order to keep the machine on the paint.Worth the money spent, possibly more.
