We have Arlo cameras that are buggy. The door bell made by this firm is excellent and pleased to say the new camera is brilliant too. Fast to respond and links into HomeKit well.

Easy to set up and understand good night vision

My home until now has been a mishmash mash of differing standards when it comes to smarts and connectivity with the bulk being based around Ring, despite my being an Apple diehard to the bone.This little camera, whilst sent to me for free, is going to cost me a fortune as it has demonstrated what I have been missing all this time.Not just a camera it is also a matter/threads hub, though with some limitations, which means that I am able to incorporate some of my existing kit into a future HomeKit based system and Aqara will be the beating heart of that system if this camera is anything to go by.Notifications of events are so fast they seemingly arrive on my phone before they happen, it's that good, set up was simple and, despite it being marketed as an outdoor camera, I have elected to place this indoors to monitor my office space as that is where the bulk of my investments lie.I will update this once I have picked up some other devices to connect to it, door locks being number 1 on my list.How I Rate- ***** Don’t think, just buy it!- **** Nothing to complain about, I’d spend my own money on this.- *** Does what it should but there may be better alternatives- ** Problems or issues encountered that outweigh any benefits.- * Run for the door!Whilst I do sometimes include photos and videos in my reviews, due to time constraints this will only be when I feel that doing so would serve a purpose in demonstrating how an aspect of the product works or fails.I only order Items that I or my family have a genuine use for and as such you can be sure that they are tested in real world warts and all situations. 1 star because of the camera quality. Guys be aware that no 24/7 recording option. Even though 32gb internal storage. Thats crazy there is no way to it. Aqara responded back saying that this camera design this way to give us clear menu. My £40 camera can record and G4 can record why not this?? Also dont purchase from Aqara directly use Amazon. Clearly no return instructions. I just sent my 4th email how to send it back🤯🤬

I bought this camera to go with 2 x G3 Pan and Tilt cameras. Note:Partly my own fault for forgetting but Homekit Secure Video only supports 1080p. So little point in a 4k camera then.Also see my review of the G3's. They are also limited to 1080p PLUS the Pan / Tilt function does NOT work in Homekit Secure Video.Could use the Aqara app but then its another app, more subscriptions and I don't want that.
