Kraken Aquatics Snorkel Dive Mask with Silicone Skirt and Strap for Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Freediving

I felt compelled to write this review because this is an absolutely excellent mask without a doubt. This review is my own review after using this mask quite a few times in Florida caves. I am a cave diver and nearly every weekend I go cave diving since I only live an hour an a half from cave country. All of my gear is high end as I like to buy the best and this is why I need to write about this mask. I own many high end masks from Atomic to Mares etc, masks fit faces differently; I had a hard time finding the right mask for me, double lenses is out of the question as all double lens masks I have tried just hurt the bridge of my nose or leak. It does not mean the masks I have bought suck, just means for me it is hard to find a good mask. So, to the meat and potatoes.. I came across this single lens mask and the looks was very attractive, the price at $27 you cannot beat it so I read the reviews and watch a video a older gentleman made, decided to order one mask and holy *$U@#% it felt amazing. Took it down to Ginnie springs the next time I went cave diving (of course I brought my other masks just in case) the mask worked amazing and felt amazing. Having said that I now I have bought 5 more of this mask. Why 5 more? Well very few times you come across a product that is well made, works flawlessly for me, and is at an amazing price. So, before the quality goes to s*** or the engineers that designed this mask decide to make unnecessary changes I will buy few more. It really is an amazing mask. Forgot to mention it held extremely well in a high flow cave like Little River, for those of you who have no idea what high current or high flow is ... take my word for it.The company did not give me a discount for my review; this is my own review after using the masks in many different caves. Although, I hope they give me a discount on my next purchase as I am planning to buy couple of more. I actually gave one of the mask I purchase to one of my cave buddies, he now uses that mask as his primary mask for all of his dive, his other mask now is the back up mask.Hope this review helps some of you out there looking at this product. I'm a dive professional and am very picky about my gear. This is a quality mask at a fraction of what you'd pay for big name brands. The strap adjusts easily, almost too easily. Satisfied, especially at the price. However it just comes in a bag and does not include any sort of hard case. I've never seen this. Even the cheapest masks we stock at our store come with cheap cases. For SCUBA divers who's gear gets shoved into a bag or box constantly this is an absolute must, and buying one on its own largely defeats the money you save here. Selling these masks in a case and not a plastic bag would go a long way towards improving the image of Kraken.

I wanted some snorkel gear since we are living in Baja every winter now. I bought the Atomic Venom first for $169 thinking that I should pay up for a top quality mask. I wanted to like it but it leaked a bit like every mask I have ever had. The field of view seemed constricted somehow and it was not particularly comfortable either. For that money I would never have been happy with it. Since I had bought a Kraken snorkel at the same time and it worked great on my test swim so I decided to try their mask as well especially after these good reviews.It's a winner, very comfortable fit and field of vision, the silicone is great. It has a frame unlike the Venom but so what? It's more comfortable on my face. Like every mask I have ever tried the inner seal does not quite fit the right side of my face but it doesn't seem to matter with this mask, it seals quite well on the outer seal. Now I am set for Baja this winter and also getting $141 back. I'm very happy I tried this mask.

I bought two of my kids top of line masks in Miami to swim with the dolphins in Key Largo. On another vacation, one was lost with a big wave. So I decided to go less expensive and bought two of these. One for me and one for my maskless kid. Two that were less expensive than the original.She said it fits better and works better. The two expensive ones I bought are also sold on here and don't rate as high.They are now only used in our pool and neither will be ocean bound again. For the $, this mask was a bargain. It's also idiot proof when it comes to adjusting. It can be done while treading water, rather quickly. I can't say these will work for diving etc but like I said, this was rated higher than the rather expensive ones I bought (and paid the surf shop price to boot).One of these cost 2X that of the throwaway versions that don't fit or work. We all hated those as do your kids. Well worth the money.

Whaaaaaatttttt!!!!Ok I have only ever used clear rubber masks... this was before I understood vision is better with black as well as black is a softer fit.My clear goggles that came with a set that was about $40. These clear goggles I have feel like they're cutting into my face, I can't pinch my nose, they are just so stiff and bad. I just thought that was how goggles were.I got these Kraken's and my mind was blown. I didn't know goggles could be COMFORTABLE yes I said that. These are so soft and light there is no pain when they're on and I can pinch my nose pretty well. The view is great. I'm very happy!One thing that some people are interested in is that the head strap is on the rubber Gasquet on the Kraken while other brands put the strap on the plastic eye piece. You can see that in the photos.
