We bought a Coleman pool and the filters you have to buy is ridiculous... This pump is definitely the best upgrade you can buy. When it came we had to buy the sand... But after that it's ran all summer without any issues. Saved enough on not having to buy filters to pay for this in one summer..

Putting it together and finding that our hose that came with the pool won’t thread into this even though it says 1.5 size hose. Debating on sending the whole thing back

This filter works much better at keeping our pool clean than the filter that came with the pool and we are generally happy with it. However, once you've removed the cover to the strainer filter, it is difficult to get it back on without leaking. The gasket doesn't seem to fit properly.

I didn't know if this pump would work as well as the Intex brand we were having to retire last season. We have now used it for one summer, and it did well, especially considering we didn't clean/backwash it as often as was suggested, and it still kept the water clear. We have a 54", 15' diameter above-ground pool and are not the best at keeping up with the hard part of pool ownership. This pump helps.

No instructions, my first pool so I don’t know what I’m doing with out the manual or how to set up. I also didn’t know it needed different sand 🤣 luckily I was told beforehand . Have not used yet

Installed this product to replace our 1500gph INTEX pump and is proving to be a huge upgrade, much quieter and much more efficient at moving and cleaning our pool water. Assembly was fairly straightforward, it would have been nice to have step by step pictorials but after scratching my head a few times I actually jumped in and read the directions which were straightforward and helpful and had me up and running in no time. Pump came with plenty of hardware including name-brand stainless clamps, teflon tape and fittings with pre-installed o-rings which helped make assembly a breeze. Not sure if it was a shipping mistake or listing error, I though I was receiving a 1/2hp pump but I noticed on the motor plate that the hp rating was 3/4, not a big deal for me as I’m running off a 20amp breaker, could be deal breaker if you have a smaller breaker though. Quality and performance has been top-notch so far, I’ll be back in a few months with a follow-up review to see how she holds up over the summer season.

We had a beautiful pool a couple years ago, but after my husband had his accident, the pool had gone through a year without any maintenance being done on it. So in essence, our pool became a pond. Now this year, we've been working really hard to get it cleaned back out so that we can use it, but it's been an uphill battle. We finally decided that upgrading our filter to a sand one was going to be the way to go. I'm so glad that we did. Our pool is just a treatment away from being usable now. The filtration that the sand does is so much better than a typical filter so after weeks of working on it, this filter was able to clean out the rest of the muck in the water so that it is actually clear again. Getting it setup was fairly easy, even without any instructions, and for the price, it's absolutely worth it.

Purchased at the end of February. Set up was difficult because the hoses didn't seem to fit properly. I had to use hoses I had from another pump to get it secured and not leaking. No big deal. It worked great, kept my water crystal clear, I couldn't have been happier.But now after less than 2 months (and 2 weeks after the 30 day warranty ended) the pump is leaking. Be careful and spend the extra money on the protection plan. I certainly wish I had. Very disappointed.
