Great thermocoupler replacement.
Worked very well to restore use of our gas fireplace. Easy to install. Seemed to be exact replacement.

Works on Robert Shaw 7000 series gas valve
This is identical to the thermopile/powerpile/generator that I had installed in my Cozy direct vent gas heater 3.5 years ago.I hope this one will last just as long - I will update this review if/when it fails (or when it is no longer possible to monitor due to moving house, etc.).As you can see in the pictures, the voltmeter shows 0.477 volts (477 millivolts) when generating heat from my heater’s pilot flame. This is enough power to keep the pilot lit for my particular application so don’t consider it a bad thing - this is likely the manufacturer’s intended design.I did test the power output of this thermopile on a workbench and it easily generated more than the typical 0.750 volts with a larger flame so yes, this should work for most millivolt system gas heaters, fireplaces, etc.

No specs to compare but seems to work
I replaced the thermopile in my Mr. heater MH40LP and after 10-15 seconds the thermopile created enough voltage to keep the pilot light lit but took over 10 minutes before enough voltage was generated (490mv) to open the main burner valve.Since there are no specs on the thermopile performance, I don’t know if this time/temperature/milli-volts relationship is in-spec or if it would continue to generate higher volts if it got hotter but I assume so.The previous thermopile shows no millivolts, so clearly that thermopile was not working. This new thermopile appears to be working (the heater lights up) but not sure if it is generating enough volts to fully open the gas valve since the heating zone is not as white as should be but has a red color instead.
