I got the set because of the color. The color is purple indeed, but it looks more dull and less red in real life. It is a nice color, though, but I would be happier if it was brighter purple.All 4 items are all silicone at least on the outside, unlike my oxo and pyrex silicone tools that have metal and plastic parts exposed and food particles collect in the seams - remember, silicone is very inert and non-stick (that is why we love it so much, right?) and it cannot be glued or fused to metal or plastic, so there always be gaps. All over silicone construction eliminates this problem.The tools - all three spoons are flat in line with the handles, not angled, so those are good for stirring, but not very good for serving. The pasta spoon is OK for serving, but not great. The slotted turner has quite thick front edge, so it is not very good for turning delicate foods, but is fine with regular stuff. All of the tools are slightly flexible, more flexible than plastic tools would be, but than you get plastic in your food, right? The tools seem to perfectly adequate and do not bend enough to cause problems. I wish they were angled, though, they would be much more useful then.I like the smooth silky feel of silicone in my hand.After almost a year of my initial purchase of the kitchen tools I am happy to report that they did not change the color, even though I used them for stirring foods with tomatoes, and washed in the dishwasher. The spoon and the slotted spoon became softer with use, which means that it is practically impossible to use them for more than stirring - when I try to scoop hot food with one of those, half of it immediately falls off from the spoons being so floppy. The slotted turner and the pasta spoon still go strong, and are used at least once a week.Edit again: pasta spoon had lost one of its teeth while I was stirring, and I got the piece in my my food. So, now only one of the four utensils is still in working order. I replaced the set with different brand.

A very impressive water and air tight versatile product.These lids have amazing holding ability, yet lift off without effort.They can be used for stove top (450 degrees) and microwave cooking, and storing food anywhere.There a perfect covering for pitch-ins, picnics and in the refrigerator.We were so surprised with the suction / holding ability of the these lids that we couldn't resistchecking how much they'd hold.= no problem holding a 6 qt pan full of food weighting 13 1/2 lbs.They work on pans / bowls = made from any kind of material = glass / metal / plastic & ceramic.Sizes = large 11 1/4" / medium 8 3/4" / small 6 3/4"These are dishwasher safe / BPA free / 100% silicone.> Only one dislike - the lids hold water spots. And none of the several products we've triedwill remove them.

Really love the purple color of this stuff! Just used the pastry brush last night. It picked up butter really well to apply to tops of rolls. The hot pad works great too! I had hoped to use the mats for place mats on my desk, but I can't get the folds out of them that occurred in shipping. I have tried putting them in the dryer, soaking in hot water, and lying them flat in my car to bake in the summer heat. Nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Excellent lids for covering bowls & such, especially when microwaving -- beats trying to use plastic wrap or a plate. I find that the small and medium are the most useful -- the large one is rarely used in the house. (I think they could improve the set by making it two mediums and a small, and perhaps making the large available in a separate set for those who need it.)We've used these items for all kinds of food, including rather spicy items with colorful spices, and there's never any trouble. You can rinse and reuse if in a hurry, otherwise they wash off easily in hot soapy water.This is an excellent product, and the price is surprisingly good.

A very good purchase. I use the two smaller ones every (microwave cook). They clean easily. Recommend highly!Don’t have much use for the large one, however. Used it as a gift. The two smaller ones are quite sufficient for my needs.

I was looking for a true red set of these and this one fits the bill! I tried a different set first but, like they turned out to be orange red instead of the red portrayed in the pictures.Not these babies! They are actually a prettier slightly blue red than the picture, which makes them perfect for me!Use the square ones as pot holders, trivets or spoon rests, although the spoon rest that comes in the set is lightweight, supportive and wide enough for 2 spoons. For a great look in your kitchen I highly recommend this set.

These lids are sturdier than I had anticipated. I like that they have a handle on top. I have not tried them in the oven but they work well in the microwave. While they cover various dishes well, I think the seal is not airtight on every kind of ceramic. I’ve hung them on the inside of a cabinet door to keep them handy.

I love silicon lids, but these not as much as other pricier ones I have.These are lighter weight, less flexible, and I seem to get hit with steam when I pull up the lid, unlike my others.So I would advise to get the better quality if it fits your budget, but I do use these, considering the value gave it 4 stars.

As others stated, the spoons are a bit too flexible and cannot be used to scoop heavy items or scrape the bottom of bowls.

Very handy

The non slotted spoon is a little floppy. It does not have any support halfway through the spoon part. Handles are great. Don't try to sir much!
